Admission Requirements for Re-Entering Students<\/h1>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Students seeking re-entry into the University must file an application with the Director of Admission in the term of planned re-entry and follow the procedures enumerated below.<\/p>

  1. Submit an application for readmission\u00a0by July 31st \u00a0<\/strong>for the fall semester,\u00a0November 1st\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>for the spring semester.<\/li>
  2. Provide a copy of transcripts of academic work completed at other institutions since\u00a0 separating from Hampton University, if applicable.\u00a0 (See notes below)<\/li><\/ol>

    Students seeking readmission please note the following:<\/p>

    • The readmission process requires approval from\u00a0three campus\u00a0units to include:
      • Student Affairs<\/li>
      • Student’s Academic Department<\/li>
      • Student Health Center<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>

        \u00a0<\/p>

        The Office of Admission will request the above approvals on behalf of the student.\u00a0Please allow two to three weeks for completion of this process<\/strong>.<\/p>

        Once the process has been completed, the Office of Admission will notify the readmission applicant in writing.<\/p>

        Applications submitted closer to deadlines may require additional processing time.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>

        Students seeking readmission\u00a0after a dismissal\u00a0must also adhere to the following:<\/strong><\/p>

        • If separation from the University was related to a first academic dismissal, a student must complete six credit hours of non-repeat courses at Hampton University and earn a 2.5 grade point average prior to the term of re-entry.<\/li>
        • If separation from the University was related to a second dismissal, a student must complete six credit hours of non repeat courses at a different college than Hampton University, and earn a 2.5 grade point average prior to the term of re-entry<\/li><\/ul>

          Any student with more than three voluntary withdrawals (for reasons other than medical ones) during his or her tenure, or with three academic dismissals is ineligible to apply for re-entry.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
