This work will be accomplished with the development of responsive biomaterials that mimic the extracellular matrix (ECM), which is a key component in disease states.\u00a0 The engineered benchtop systems developed in my lab will accurately predict\u00a0<em>in vivo<\/em>\u00a0results with a fraction of the time and cost investments required of traditional animal studies.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Jerald Dumas Associate Professor Chemical Engineering, SET &#8211;
