When you complete the student section of the form, you will be asked to provide your parent(s\u2019) email address and a few identifiers.\u00a0 Parents will receive an email and be asked to log in to your application to provide their information.\u00a0 Married students who filed 2024 federal taxes separately from their spouse will be asked to provide their spouse\u2019s email address.\u00a0 All contributors must have an FSA ID.\u00a0 Visit Create Account | Federal Student Aid to create an FSA ID.<\/li><li>ALL contributors are required to give their consent to have their 2024 federal tax information (FTI) provided by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). THIS INCLUDES CONTRIBUTORS THAT DID NOT FILE A TAX RETURN.\u00a0 Consent is collected within the FAFSA application.\u00a0 If ALL contributors do not give consent, the student WILL NOT be eligible for federal student aid.<\/li><li>The use of the Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) has been replaced by the Student Aid Index (SAI) for 26\/27. Similar to the EFC, the SAI represents the applicant\u2019s need for Federal Student Aid.\u00a0 Your processed 25\/26 FAFSA will contain your SAI which HU will use to award federal aid to you.<\/li><\/ul><p><strong>Hampton University (HU) is now a member of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF)!<\/strong><\/p><p>As a result, our students receive access to the TMCF&#8217;s various opportunities, from scholarship options and future-focused programs to internships and career resources. The extension aims to alleviate uncertainty for borrowers as the Biden-Harris Administration asks the Supreme Court to review the lower-court orders preventing the Department from providing debt relief for tens of millions of Americans.&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Student loan payments will resume 60 days after the U.S Department of Education is permitted to implement the program or the litigation is resolved.
