The Admission Counselor is responsible for attracting and recruiting new students to the University by making presentations on the strengths and attributes of the University.
Job duties:
- Serve as a recruitment Admission Counselor by meeting with prospective students, parents, and counselors to promote the strengths and attributes of the University.
- Review applications and make recommendations for admission to the Dean of Admission based upon submitted credentials in relationship to the mission and goals of the University.
- Provide administrative support for all campus visitation programs to include Open Houses, daily tours, and special weekend visitation programs.
- Provide virtual and in-person counseling for prospective students and parents regarding application status.
- Process on-site applications for admission of prospective students based upon students meeting admission requirements
- Participate in extensive training, and comprehension of all Banner and the CRM Slate admission programs.
- Assist in all efforts pertinent to the successful operation of the Admission Office.
- All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience working in a college/university Admission Office is highly desired
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use technology as it relates to the recruitment of new students to the University.
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication; oral, and written skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively use technology relevant to the recruitment of new students to the University.
