The Admission Counselor is responsible for attracting and recruiting new students to the University by making presentations on the strengths and attributes of the University.

Job duties:

  • Serve as a recruitment Admission Counselor by meeting with prospective students, parents, and counselors to promote the strengths and attributes of the University.
  • Review applications and make recommendations for admission to the Dean of Admission based upon submitted credentials in relationship to the mission and goals of the University.
  • Provide administrative support for all campus visitation programs to include Open Houses, daily tours, and special weekend visitation programs.
  • Provide virtual and in-person counseling for prospective students and parents regarding application status.
  • Process on-site applications for admission of prospective students based upon students meeting admission requirements
  • Participate in extensive training, and comprehension of all Banner and the CRM Slate admission programs.
  • Assist in all efforts pertinent to the successful operation of the Admission Office.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience working in a college/university Admission Office is highly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use technology as it relates to the recruitment of new students to the University.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication; oral, and written skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use technology relevant to the recruitment of new students to the University.
