The Co-Offensive Coordinator, Assistant Coach (Quarterback Coach) is responsible to the Head Football Coach and the Director of Athletics for assisting in the management of a varsity intercollegiate sports program and team. Specific responsibilities include assisting the Head Football Coach on the offensive side of the football team.
Job Duties:
- Coach Offensive Line.
- Know academic status of your position.
- Recruit assigned area.
- Analyze opposing defenses to identify weaknesses and develop game plans to attack them.
- Create and implement practice drills and routines that focus on refining offensive line techniques, such as hand placement, footwork, and leverage.
- Study game film to identify areas for improvement for individual players and the offensive line unit as a whole, providing feedback to players based on their performance.
- Assist in identifying and recruiting potential offensive line players who fit the team’s needs.
- Inspire and motivate offensive linemen to perform at their best during practices and games.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Previous experience in coaching
- Knowledge of computer applications, including that for recruiting and video analysis
- Written and oral communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Leadership skills
- Ability to work weekends & evenings, and to travel
- NCAA rules and regulations.
