{"id":1905,"date":"2024-01-25T20:04:11","date_gmt":"2024-01-25T20:04:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/home.hamptonu.edu\/hr\/?p=1905"},"modified":"2025-06-11T16:38:59","modified_gmt":"2025-06-11T16:38:59","slug":"automotive-service-manager","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/home.hamptonu.edu\/hr\/2024\/01\/25\/automotive-service-manager\/","title":{"rendered":"Automotive Service Manager- Vehicle Services"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Hampton University is currently seeking experienced and qualified Automotive Service Manager for the Vehicle Services department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manage fleet operations to include inventory, procurement, safety inspections.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manage fleet schedule for Athletics and other department.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure compliance of gas tank DEQ regulations and inspections.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Operate and safely drive Hampton University Fleet vehicles as required,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inspect auto shop are for OSHA compliance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Schedule maintenance and repair of fleet vehicles, e.g. oil changes, fuel check, fluid checks etc. and maintain event<br>equipment (tables, awnings, banners, televisions)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain all DOT and vehicle logs as required by law and all University documents<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Actively document and report any malfunctions\/accidents on a as needed basis<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform related work as required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>BS Degree or Automotive Certification (ASE)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Good Interpersonal and communication skills<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two or more years of verifiable experience with managing fleet maintenance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Acceptable driving record<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CDL license preferred with air brake endorsement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must be able to work weekends<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be able to physically lift 20lbs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hampton University is currently seeking experienced and qualified Automotive Service Manager for the Vehicle Services department.
