This position will focus on increasing philanthropic support from alumni, parents, fans, and friends, working closely with the Athletics Advancement and University Advancement teams to foster a culture of giving and engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Design, implement, and manage annual giving strategies and campaigns for Hampton University Athletics, including direct mail, email, digital outreach, and phonathons.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, and supporters, serving as a primary point of contact for annual giving inquiries and stewardship.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with the Athletics Advancement team to identify, cultivate, and solicit prospects for annual gifts, and coordinate with major gift officers as needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyze giving data, generate reports, and use metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness and inform future strategies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee gift processing, acknowledgments, and stewardship activities in coordination with the Advancement Services team, ensuring timely and accurate donor recognition.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan and execute donor engagement and recognition events, including game-day hospitality, special receptions, and virtual events.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work with athletics marketing, communications, and fan engagement teams to integrate annual giving messaging into broader departmental initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the development of fundraising collateral, appeals, and digital content to inspire giving and communicate impact.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain accurate donor records and ensure compliance with University and NCAA policies and procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with budget development and management for annual giving initiatives.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Associate AD, Advancement, or Director of Athletics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree required; master\u2019s degree preferred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum 3-5 years of experience in annual giving, fundraising, or advancement, preferably in collegiate athletics or higher education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrated success in developing and executing fundraising campaigns and donor engagement strategies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and reporting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with diverse constituencies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency with fundraising databases (e.g., Banner, Raiser\u2019s Edge) and Microsoft Office Suite.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required for events and donor meetings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Commitment to the core values of Hampton University: integrity, respect, decency, dignity, and responsibility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Assistant Athletic Director, Advancement \u2013 Annual Giving, is responsible for developing, executing, and managing a comprehensive annual giving program to support Hampton University Athletics.
