This position supports alumni engagement strategies, manages event logistics, and provides essential administrative and budget support for the Office of Alumni Affairs. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about building alumni relationships that support the university\u2019s mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In-office setting with occasional travel or evening\/weekend work for events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Alumni Engagement (Graduate College &amp; HamptonU Global)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop, coordinate, and implement alumni outreach strategies for Graduate College and HamptonU Global programs and others as assigned.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in planning and executing engagement campaigns, communications, newsletters, and social media tailored to graduates, online alumni and others.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain and update alumni records in coordination with the university\u2019s database team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve as a liaison between alumni and university departments to foster lifelong connections and promote alumni involvement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support the coordination of volunteer opportunities, mentorship initiatives, and virtual engagement programs for alumni.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Administrative Support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide general administrative support to the Office of Alumni Affairs, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and preparing correspondence.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist with office budgeting, tracking expenses, and processing requisitions and purchase orders.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prepare reports, maintain files, record, and support data entry for engagement tracking.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate internal communications and assist with day-to-day operations of the office.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Event Planning &amp; Logistics<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Organize and execute logistics for alumni events, including virtual, on-campus, and regional gatherings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Coordinate venue reservations, catering, AV needs, transportation, and event materials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with vendors, campus partners, and external stakeholders to ensure event success.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Support registration processes and post-event follow-up and evaluation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Help ensure accessibility and inclusion in event planning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree required; degree in Communications, Public Relations, Higher Education, or related field preferred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2+ years of experience in alumni relations, event planning, or administrative coordination.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database or CRM systems (e.g., Raiser&#8217;s Edge, Salesforce) a plus.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proficiency in basic graphic&nbsp;design (e.g., Photoshop, Canva) or video editing (iMovie, Final Cut Pro) and social media management a plus&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience working with diverse populations and commitment to inclusive engagement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Knowledge of graduate or online education environments.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience with budget tracking and financial systems.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Alumni Engagement and Administrative Coordinator plays a key role in fostering meaningful connections between the University and its Graduate College and HamptonU Global alumni.
