The Hampton University main campus is centrally located between Virginia Beach and historic Williamsburg, along a beautiful waterfront. The University is a nationally renowned, privately endowed, co-educational, and nonsectarian institution. The University is \u201cdedicated to the promotion of learning, building of character and preparation of promising students for positions of leadership and service.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minimum Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&nbsp;Registered Nurse, Statistician, Licensed Pharmacist, or Health-Related Field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Master&#8217;s required. Doctorate preferred.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eligible to be a member of the Undergraduate and Graduate Nursing and Health Sciences Faculty.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Registered Nurse must have an unencumbered RN license in Virginia or a compact state with at least five years of clinical nursing practice experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Five years of educator experience required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge of and experience in state, regional, and national nursing accreditation and Health Sciences certification processes for AACN, AUPHA, CCNE, VBON, and other agencies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>General knowledge of university evaluation and reporting processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience in managing aggregated data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Demonstrate significant prior experience in a nursing college.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to lead academic programs&#8217; collection and evaluation of program outcomes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to construct and participate in the construction of accreditation and other agency reporting documents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Able to engage and educate faculty on the most recent accreditation\/licensure\/ educational standards.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Meet the required standards defined by the University.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Specification<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reports to: Dean of the School of Nursing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provide leadership and guidance to faculty and administration regarding the evaluation of formative and summative data to promote excellence in the delivery of nursing curricula and health sciences curricula.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Actively engage with Undergraduate, Graduate Chairs\/. Directors of Nursing to meet for program evaluation and data gathering.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain an undergraduate and\/or graduate teaching load equivalent to other directors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research Design:&nbsp;Determine how to collect data accurately, design surveys, polls, and controlled experiments to avoid bias<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data Analysis:&nbsp;Apply statistical models and programming languages to organize and evaluate the collected information.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interpretation:&nbsp;Determine the validity of the data and figure out what the observed patterns actually mean for the organization<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Communication:&nbsp;Translate highly complex mathematical concepts into clear, actionable reports and presentations for non-technical leaders and executives.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Program Assessment &amp; Evaluation<\/strong>:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Serve on the SON Administrative Council.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serve on university committees as appointed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chair the School of Nursing Assessment and Evaluation Committee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collect and manage data related to enrollment, graduations, and demographics of students in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences needed to complete required reports each semester.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work with Institutional Research to secure correct data.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete\/assist with preparation and submission of reports required by accrediting\/approval agencies and other national nursing and Health Sciences organizations, including:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>AACN Annual Survey of Nursing Programs<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AACN Annual Faculty Survey &amp; Faculty Vacancy Report<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>AACN Brief Survey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CCNE Annual Report<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>VBON Annual Reports (Undergraduate and Graduate)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NLN Annual Survey of Schools of Nursing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>NCSBN Projected Graduates of Prelicensure nursing students<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist the School of Nursing Dean, Chairs, and Directors in responding to requests from the University Management Boards and legislatively established Task Forces and Commissions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Systematically develop and implement a plan for conducting evaluations of nursing programs, curricula, faculty, students, and outcomes related to each.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Administrative\/Academic Responsibilities<\/strong>:\n<ol start=\"1\" style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Represent the School of Nursing, at Dean\u2019s request, at statewide meetings as needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in the preparation of communications with external community agencies and alumni, as necessary.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct course instruction as assigned.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participating in official Hampton University functions as deemed necessary by the School of Nursing administration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Complete other activities as requested by the Dean of the School of Nursing and University administration.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Planning<\/strong>:\n<ol start=\"1\" style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Develop Master Evaluation Plans for each school nursing program(S) that include a timeline of when each outcome measure is to be performed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop a Master Calendar for all accreditation visits, interim reports, etc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Work with School of Nursing Directors to ensure that collected data related to SON outcomes are analyzed and reported to appropriate committees for action.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Give reports regarding outcomes of nursing programs to appropriate committees and suggest ways to improve evaluation of programs\/students\/curricula in future evaluation periods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaboratively assist School of Nursing directors and faculty in planning program\/student\/faculty\/curricula improvements and needed changes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>University and Community Service:<\/strong>\n<ol start=\"1\" style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Annually attend required University-sponsored functions each year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in at least one professional organization within the State.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Salary is based on qualifications $75,000-$135,000<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
