Harvey Leadership Institute.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Entering freshmen with a minimum high school <strong>G.P.A. of 3.0, or equivalent<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Admission is through a competitive process which includes evidence of leadership and an <strong>on-site interview<\/strong> during New Student Orientation Week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Apply<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The items required to apply to the Leadership Institute include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>A completed\u00a0application.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Three (3) Personal statements (250-500 word count).<\/strong>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type:lower-alpha\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Explain \u201cleadership\u201d and \u201cservice\u201d from your personal point of view<br>(Both brevity and clarity are important)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Describe how you have demonstrated the ability to lead<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explain why you want to participate in this program and earn a Minor in Leadership Studies. <br><br>Each personal statement must be typed and doubled spaced.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Two (2) letters of recommendation.<\/strong>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><span style=\"font-size: 1rem; font-weight: 400; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);\">Letters of recommendation should include one from your school and one from a community service organization. Recommendations MUST be on letterhead stationary and signed.
