data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Dr. Soran Tarkhani is an Assistant Professor of Political Science and History at Hampton University. He teaches a range of courses across the discipline, including POLS 408 Public Policy, POLS 201 Introduction to Politics, POLS 203 American National Government, POLS 204 State and Local Government, and POLS 499 Ethnic Politics. His teaching is grounded in a commitment to clarity, mentorship, and supporting students as they develop strong analytical and civic skills.<br \/>\nHis research focuses on ethnic politics, conflict resolution, and the institutional foundations of political competition in the Middle East, particularly within Kurdish politics in Iraq.
