Department of Sports Science and Wellness at Hampton University. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Longwood University, a Master of Science from the University of Florida, and a Ph.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University. His doctoral research developed predictive equations for resting metabolic rate (RMR) in African American women, thereby advancing diversity and representation in exercise science practices.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Johnson\u2019s research explores the intersection of metabolism, physical performance, and nutrition through evidence-based methodologies in exercise physiology, resistance training, and sport nutrition. His work advances understanding of holistic health outcomes while addressing the underrepresentation of diverse populations within the field of kinesiology.<\/p>\n<p>At Hampton University, Dr. Johnson integrates experiential learning and research-based instruction to prepare students for careers in allied health and human movement. His teaching prioritizes critical thinking, self-discipline, and active participation in laboratory and field environments, while emphasizing the practical application of scientific theory.
