Professional Experience
<\/strong>Dr. Charlene Bell is a dual-certified Family and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and a U.S. Navy veteran. With a deep background in adult, geriatric, mental, and women\u2019s health, her career reflects a strong commitment to underserved communities. She is the founder of Her Padded Truth, a nonprofit providing eco-friendly menstrual hygiene products to homeless women locally and abroad, as well as Her Padded Youth, a program educating school-aged children on menstrual health. In 2019, she launched Convenient Healthcare VA, a family practice dedicated to communities of color, and in 2021, she founded Ruach Counseling and Associates, a mental health firm that partners with churches to address mental illness in faith communities. Her passion for health education, especially in health promotion and disease prevention, drives her work across both clinical and community settings.<\/p>
