IPEDS gathers information from every college, university, and technical and vocational institution that participates in the federal student financial aid programs.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>As a degree-granting institution of higher education accredited by the <b><a href=\"https:\/\/sacscoc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)<\/a><\/b> and in accord with federal requirement 4.1, every Hampton University student prior to graduation should attain the following general education core competencies.<\/li><\/ul><h3><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Associations<\/strong><\/h3><ul><li><strong>Virginia Association for Management Analysis and Planning (VAMAP)<\/strong>\u2013 the professional organization for institutional researchers, planners, and budget officers at public and private colleges and universities in the Commonwealth of Virginia.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sair.org\/\"><strong>Southern Association for Institutional Research (SAIR)<\/strong><\/a>\u2013 dedicated to the advancement of research leading to improved understanding, planning, and operation of institutions of post-secondary education.\u00a0 SAIR provides a forum for the dissemination of information and interchange of ideas on problems of common interest in the field of institutional research.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><ul><li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.airweb.org\/pages\/default.aspx\"><strong>Association for Institutional Research (AIR)<\/strong><\/a>\u2013 the world&#8217;s largest professional\u00a0association for institutional researchers. The organization provides educational resources, best practices and professional development opportunities for more than 4,000 \u00a0members.
