Business<\/strong>
The Hampton University School of Business is accredited by the\u00a0International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE)<\/a>.<\/p>

Education<\/strong>
The Division of Education is accredited by the\u00a0National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)<\/a>. Its programs are approved by the Department of Education of the Commonwealth of Virginia.<\/p>

All students are prepared to pass all national and state professional entry and licensure tests. The Department of Education has been highly successful in placing students in various areas of education.<\/p>

Students who graduate from the Department with teaching degrees are approved for teaching in 45 states without requiring extra certification courses.<\/p>

Nursing<\/strong>
The undergraduate and graduate nursing programs are fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE); the undergraduate program is approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing. The School of Nursing is also an agency member of the National League for Nursing, the Nursing Council of the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB), and the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN).<\/p>

All graduates of the baccalaureate nursing program are eligible for admission to take the national licensure examination to practice professional nursing. This examination is administered by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing, Inc. Graduates registered in the Commonwealth of Virginia may apply to any state for licensure by endorsement, or as certified advanced practice nurse.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements – (NC-SARA)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>

Hampton University is a member of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA), which allows online delivery of distance education to other member states. HU continues to monitor developments in the relevant laws in every state. If authorization or licensure is necessary or becomes necessary, Hampton University will obtain the necessary approvals.<\/p>

Hampton University is currently exempt from authorization for online programs in the following states: Massachusetts and California.<\/p>

State Contact Information Pursuant to the United States Department of Education\u2019s Program Integrity Rule, each institution of higher education is required to provide all prospective and current students with the contact information of the state agency or agencies that handle complaints against post-secondary education institutions offering distance learning within that state.<\/p>

Students are encouraged to use Hampton University\u2019s internal Student Grievance Policy and Procedures<\/a> prior to filing a complaint with a state agency.
