Membership Fee Benefits:<\/b><\/span><\/p>

Annual Membership (per academic year | September-June) | $60<\/span><\/p>

Members may:<\/b><\/span><\/p>

-Participate in all Osher sponsored Activities & Workshops (does not include courses)<\/span><\/p>

-Attend Day, National, and International Trips<\/span><\/p>

-Receive email updates about all OLLI at HU program offerings<\/span><\/p>

-Subscribe to the OLLI at HU quarterly newsletter<\/span><\/p>

-Receive early notifications on OLLI trips and events<\/span><\/p>

Course Fee:<\/b><\/span> Additional $60 for up to 3 courses per academic year | September-June<\/span><\/p>

If a member takes only <\/span>1 <\/b>course in a <\/span>6 week <\/b>session they will have two remaining courses for the remaining academic year.
If a member takes <\/span>3<\/b> courses<\/b> during a <\/span>6 week<\/b> session they will have to pay an <\/span>additional $60<\/b> to take up to 3 more courses for the remainder of the year.<\/span><\/p>

Examples of Membership Scenarios<\/b><\/span>:<\/span><\/p>

Ex 1. John Doe wants to join OLLI at HU and register for the Google It, Swimming, and Yoga classes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

He pays<\/b>: $60 (Basic Membership Fee) + $60 (Course Registration Fee \/ Spans the full academic year | September-June) = $120<\/span><\/p>

Ex 2. John Doe wants to join OLLI at HU but not register for classes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

He pays<\/b>: $60 (Basic Membership Fee \/ Spans the full academic year | September-June)\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Ex 3. John Doe pays his membership and course registration for the academic year. However, during the first 6 week session (September 1 – October 6) He used all 3 course options by taking google it, yoga, and swimming.
Therefore,<\/b> he must pay an additional $60 to gain up to 3 courses for any of the following six week sessions during the academic year.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

How can members volunteer?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Activities are organized and operated by our members. As a democratic membership organization, OLLI at HU depends on the volunteer services of its members. Volunteering brings involvement in the Institute in meaningful and satisfying ways.<\/span><\/p>

Can members bring guest to classes or activities?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

OLLI classes and activities are designed for members only. However, members may bring a guest for a\u00a0<\/span>one-time visit as a class auditor. Guests are also welcome for a single session for workshops and interest groups. Please ensure that you and your guest come to the main office prior to attending any classes or activities. A guest name badge will be given at that time. Guest pass lanyards must be returned to the office<\/span> at the conclusion of your visit.<\/span><\/p>

Where are classes located?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Classes are held at the W.O. Lawton Building and various local satellite locations. The address for each class is listed in the course catalog under course course offerings.<\/span><\/p>

Do members need parking passes?\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

When attending day and\/or overnight trips a parking pass is required. Be sure to obtain your parking pass upon arrival at the lot.<\/span><\/p>

Can accommodations be provided for accessibility needs?<\/strong><\/p>

We are dedicated to making our courses and events accessible to individuals with disabilities. What is the Inclement Weather policy?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

OLLI follows Hampton University\u2019s weather policy. If Hampton University has a delayed opening, OLLI\u2019s morning classes will be cancelled. If Hampton University is closed, all OLLI classes will be cancelled as well. Delays and closure notifications will be sent to all members via email. You can also be found on our website (home.hamptonu.edu\/osher), Facebook group page (Osher at Hampton University).<\/span><\/p>

What is our refund\/credit policy?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

No refunds or credits will be given for local, overnight trips and movie days.<\/span> Members are allowed to make arrangements with another Osher member to serve as their replacement for activities or trips if needed. Please be sure to call the office and provide that name prior to any trip (local\/overnight) or movie day.<\/span><\/p>

How do I sign up for trips?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Trip sign-ups are only permitted on the designated sign-up days.
