Dr. Munama Bazunga

Dr. Bazunga joined the faculty at the School of Pharmacy in 2000. Previously, he was a Clinical Pharmacist in Cardiology at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for two years. Dr. Bazunga coordinates the Introduction To Clerkships course (PHA 490), which uses a case-based approach to teach the students how to deliver pharmaceutical care. Dr. Bazunga also team teaches the renal and cardiovascular portions of the Drug Disease State Management course (PHA 484 and PHA 585) using case discussions format. Dr.Bazunga also serves as a Preceptor for the Ambulatory Care rotation at the Hampton-VA Medical Center. Dr. Bazunga’s research interests are in the area of cardiovascular therapeutics. He has published in peer-reviewed journals.
