The research and student training in the center are supported by US Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Fusion Energy Science (OFES). The supercomputing facilities for research and training are provided by the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC) in Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) in Berkeley, California. The research in the center is focused on the simulation of nonresonant stellarator divertors and tokamak divertors.
