Research Interests
<\/strong>My research interests are broadly oriented to analytical chemistry. I use molecular spectroscopic techniques and nanoplasmonics for detection and quantification of a wide range of analytes originating in forensic, bio, and environmental fields. A major effort of my research would be dedicated in developing highly sensitive, low cost, \u2018point-of-need\u2019 sensors by using plasmonic (gold, silver) nanomaterials and surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). Other future efforts will focus on the development of plasmonic nanoprobes for detection of biomarkers expressed in cells with the help of Raman and fluorescence imaging.<\/span><\/p>

  1. SERS-based lateral flow assay (LFA) paper strips as low-cost, sensitive, point-of-need sensors for forensic analytes.\"\"<\/li>
