Research Interests:\u00a0<\/strong>Dr. Zhang\u2019s research interest focus on metal oxide semiconducting sensors and devices (ZnO, TiO2<\/sub>), novel thermoelectric thin film materials and superlattice structures such as PbTe\/PbSe and SbTe, BiTe, noble metal and metal oxide nanostructures, photonic and optoelectronic materials, Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) Films,\u00a0 template replication technology with porous Si membranes, synthesis of nanorods and nanotubes including novel nested tube-in-tube device architectures, design and development state-of-the-art atomic layer deposition systems for ultra-thin films. Dr. Zhang extensive research resulted in many novel achievements with superior quality and feasibility of manufacturing, synthesis, fabrication, and reproducibility. Dr. Zhang has published more than 40 refereed journal papers in prestigious peer-reviewed engineering and scientific journals, and more than twenty conference proceedings at international conferences plus one chapter in the book \u201cBiomedical Engineering, Trends in Materials Science\u201d, edited by A. N. Laskovski, InTech (2011). Dr. Zhang is a member of MRS, SPIE, ECS, AVS.<\/p>
