Are you a driven, student journalist eager to work in an award-winning newsroom before your senior year? The Wall Street Journal<\/a> internship program offers an unparalleled opportunity for college juniors to gain practical work experience in our award-winning newsrooms in New York, Detroit, San Francisco and Los Angeles with mentorship and tailored training sessions. Graduate students enrolled in a degree program by the application deadline \u2013 October 31, 2025<\/strong> \u2013 who are returning to school in the fall are also eligible to apply. Graduating seniors should apply to WSJ News Associates.<\/p>

We are looking for ambitious students who think foremost about the audience and are able to work independently under deadline pressure. You don\u2019t need to be a business or economics expert, but a commitment to high journalistic standards is a must.<\/p>

You don\u2019t need to be an expert in business or finance to apply, but you do need to be curious and eager to learn. You should have completed at least one prior reporting internship with another professional media organization or published exceptional work with a campus news outlet or as a freelancer.<\/p>

Interns are encouraged to pitch their own stories and projects and follow them through to completion with supervision and guidance from an editor.<\/p>

The window for students to apply for 2026 fellowships<\/strong> at The Texas Tribune [texastribune.org]<\/a> is open! Students may submit applications here [recruiting.paylocity.com]<\/a> for spring and summer fellowships by Nov. 2<\/strong> and for fall fellowships by Feb. 15.<\/strong><\/p>

We’re looking for aspiring journalists and digital media professionals who want hands-on experience in audience engagement, data visuals, software engineering, events, marketing and communications, nonprofit business development, photography, product, graphic design, and reporting in Texas or Washington, D.C. Interested candidates may apply for more than one fellowship and may apply for the spring, summer and fall semesters.<\/p>

Tribune fellows are paid $6,500 a semester, and graduate students, as well as community college students, are eligible.<\/p>
