$1 BILLION ENDOWMENT<\/strong>
Financial Sustainability is critical for maintaining the legacy of leadership and excellence Hampton has provided since 1868, but equally important to realizing the lofty aspirations we hold for its future. To that end, we have begun the silent phase of a very deliberate effort to fund \u201celevating Hampton excellence\u201d that includes increasing the endowment to $1 Billion.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

GROW DIVERSE ENROLLMENT <\/strong>TO 11,000<\/strong>
The future Hampton will be larger, more diverse, and better focused on delivering an exceptional student experience. Over the next 10 years, our undergraduate and online enrollment will grow to 5,000 students each while our graduate population will grow to 1,000. This larger size campus will advance Hampton\u2019s service as well as provide a rich opportunity to more students.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

HU TECHNOLOGY AND<\/strong>
INNOVATION PARK<\/strong>
Hampton has enjoyed a quality reputation as an institution that supports the STEM disciplines as well as an institution willing to look at innovative initiatives. The \u201celevating Hampton excellence,\u201d strategic plan calls for the development of HU Technology and Innovation Park on campus that focuses on interdisciplinary exploration and utilization of cutting edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

FOUR ENHANCED ACADEMIC UNITS<\/strong>
Hampton has never been afraid to grow and that will continue over the next 10 years with the development of:<\/p>

THE SCHOOL OF RELIGION<\/strong>
Over the next 10 years, this plan calls for the creation of the Hampton University School of Religion which shall bring together existing academic offerings and two new exciting doctorates \u2014 the Ph.D. In Public Theology and the Doctor of Ministry. Collectively, these credentials will empower Hampton to train and retrain clergy and spiritual intellectuals at every level.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

THE SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING,<\/strong>
ARCHITECTURE AND AVIATION<\/strong>
The Elevating Hampton Excellence Strategic Plan is a deliberate commitment to repositioning the assets of the University for national and global leadership. Upon the advice of accreditation agents and university faculty, the previous School of Engineering and Technology has been renamed to better reflect its contemporary programming. Further, as one of less than 10 HBCU architecture programs in America and one of less than six aviation programs at an HBCU, this renaming endeavors to highlight existing excellence with an eye towards expansion. We expect the new School of Engineering, Architecture, and Aviation to soar to new heights.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

THE SCHOOL OF<\/strong>
LEADERSHIP STUDIES<\/strong>
This plan calls for the creation of the School of Leadership Studies. Since its founding in 1868, the institution has built leaders of character or provided service to our local, state, national and global communities. We wish to formalize that effort now by bringing our renowned William R. Harvey Institute and ROTC units together with some new innovative and interdisciplinary academic programming under the umbrella of the Hampton University School of
Leadership Studies.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

THE COLLEGE OF HEALTH<\/strong>
SCIENCES AND RESEARCH<\/strong>
Hampton creates solutions for challenges facing our community. One of those challenges is in healthcare and addressing healthcare disparities in communities of color. This strategic plan calls for combining the existing School of Nursing and School of Pharmacy with the Physical Therapy program into a new College of Health Sciences and Research. We believe this would put Hampton in position to open a Medical School in the foreseeable future.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

CHAMPIONSHIP ATHLETIC CULTURE<\/strong>
Renowned as an institution for leadership, Hampton realizes the tremendous value of athletics in developing the whole person and his\/her leadership. We are therefore committing university resources to sustaining athletic excellence alongside academic excellence to ensure we develop well rounded leaders, stimulate school spirit and deliver the #1 Student Experience in America.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT<\/strong>
A primary goal of education is to empower one to live a better life. Hampton University is committed to being equally innovative and responsive to the credentialing needs of our community. For that reason and more, we will develop a robust inventory of micro credentials for women and men to advance their competitiveness in the Hampton Roads workforce.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Like Hampton\u2019s commitment to creating solutions in healthcare, the University is committed to creating innovative solutions in education, especially for children of color. Utilizing new and additional faculty resources, Hampton will aggressively pursue private and public investment in research that empowers its faculty to exert world-class leadership in the developing of cutting edge programs in: educating Black boys, language acquisition training, female preparation in STEM fields and transforming young boys and girls into articulate global minded citizens prepared to be leaders of character in an interdependent society.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
