Admission to the Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (PhD) Program is Temporarily Suspended
The Department of Graduate Nursing Education initiated the first ever PhD in Nursing at a Historical Black College and University. We are confident that the decision is necessary at this time to ensure, to the extent possible, the program integrity and rigor is maintained. This decision affords an opportunity to evaluate and revise the curriculum so it reflects not only core research elements, but also emerging areas of nursing science. In order to accomplish this, we are temporarily suspending admissions for fall 2019.AA.
We anticipate that the revised program will begin admitting students in fall 2020.
Admission to the Master of Science in Nursing (MS) Program is Temporarily Suspended
Until recently, the Master of Science in Nursing programs were delivered face to face. The decision at this time to suspend admission affords an opportunity to evaluate and revise the curriculums to reflect the emerging, priority areas of nursing science. In order to accomplish this, we are temporarily suspending admissions for fall 2019.
We anticipate that the revised programs will begin admitting students in fall 2020.
