Membership is free and open to eligible VWIEC participants and Hampton University affiliates. To register, please visit our website, complete the membership application, and attend a mandatory orientation session.

What costs are associated with using the makerspace?

While membership is free, members must pay for the materials they use. Prices vary based on the type and quantity of materials. All equipment usage is included in the membership at no extra cost.

Can I reserve equipment in advance?

Yes, members can reserve equipment using the Coworks App. This app allows you to book machines and workspaces in advance to ensure availability when you need it.

Are there any educational programs available at Action Area?

Yes, we offer a variety of workshops and classes designed to enhance skills in areas such as 3D printing, publication printing, and apparel design. These programs are free for members and can be booked through the Coworks App.
