WDE

Here is an overview of the project:

  • The Hampton University Workforce Development Enterprise (new HU Sector)
  • Has 3 Sectors (Mrs. Jefferson and Mrs. Abdul-Musawir – Please keep me honest on the names.  I did not have my notebook)
    • Suite 1400:  The Standard of Excellence (Suite 1400 – Harbour Center)
      • Specialty in Business Networking and Culinary Arts
      • Expected Opening – April or May 2025
    • Hampton University Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (Suite 1100 – Harbour Center)
      • Specialty in Entrepreneurship and highlighting the maker space
      • Dotted line to Department of Entrepreneurship
      • Expected Opening to the Public – October 1, 2025
    • Hampton University Workforce Development Center (Butler Farm Road)
      • Specialty in Workforce Trades beginning with HVAC, Welding, Nursing Assistant, Home Health, Forklift Certification and Propane Technology
      • Expected Opening – April 2025

Notes:

  • President Williams would like all of the logos and mottos to align.
  • He wants a big marketing push concentrating on Hampton’s return to Workforce Development and the community impact.
  • Suite 1400 will be an upscale establishment and has the best view in Hampton Roads
  • We need the Workforce Development emblem ASAP.  The building manager has been waiting on this for two months.  The sign creator is waiting for the image.  We have a sign that will go on the building and then a sign on the street side at the entrance of the parking lot.

Please let me know when you would like to meet as well as any additional information that you may need from me.

I appreciate any assistance you can provide.
