  • STEM Research Scholarship — The VSGC Undergraduate STEM Research Scholarship Program provides awards of up to $8,500 to rising juniors and seniors who are enrolled full-time in a program of study in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM) and have a specific faculty-mentored research project that has NASA or aerospace relevance.
  • STEM Bridge Scholarship  — Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) provides renewable STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Bridge Scholarships of $1,000 to rising sophomore students from any federally recognized minority group enrolled full-time in a program of STEM at one of the five Virginia Space Grant member universities.

A major goal of the Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) is to help produce the engineers and scientists of the future. While opportunities for careers in aerospace have expanded, the number of talented students pursuing degrees in mathematics, engineering and the sciences has declined.

Apple HBCU Scholars (Thurgood Marshall College Fund)

The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) in partnership with Apple is proud to present the Apple HBCU Scholars Program to outstanding students attending a Historically Black College or University. Eligible students should be currently working towards a degree in an undergraduate, Masters, Law or Ph.D. program. Selected Scholars will receive a $15,000 merit-based scholarship and participate in a 12-week internship during the Summer. Each scholar will be assigned an Apple mentor throughout their experience, receive an opportunity to develop key skills, enhance their resumes and help launch their careers through the hands-on experience gained at one of the top tech companies in the world.

The Generation Google Scholarship was established to help aspiring computer scientists excel in technology and become leaders in the field.

 

Microsoft Scholarship Program 

Microsoft awards college tuition scholarships each year to encourage students to pursue studies in Computer Science and related STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) disciplines. Recipients will be awarded in recognition of their demonstrated passion for technology, academic excellence and leadership while working to push the software industry forward.

GEM Fellowship

GEM offers MS and Ph.D. level students an outstanding opportunity and access to dozens of the top Engineering and Science firms and Universities in the nation. The GEM Fellowship was designed to focus on promoting opportunities for individuals to enter industry at the graduate level in areas such as research and development, product development, and other high level technical careers. GEM also offers exposure opportunities to a number of opportunities in academe.
