Greetings Vendors!

Hampton University is pleased to offer vendor opportunities during our 2026 Homecoming festivities! The Office of Student Involvement and Leadership invite you to participate in the annual Homecoming Bazaar, taking place on Friday and Saturday, October 23–24, 2026. As in previous years, we anticipate a diverse and vibrant crowd of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members.

Bazaar Details

Hampton University Campus

  • Friday, Oct. 23, 2026: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Set-up Time: 7:30 AM
  • Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Set-up Time: 7:30 AM

The Escape at Strawberry Banks (Food Vendors Only)

  • Friday, Oct. 23, 2026: 5:00 PM – 11:00 PM. Set-up Time: 10AM - 12PM. Must be set up by 2PM.
Note: Vendors wishing to vend on both campus and at Strawberry Banks on Friday must set up in two separate locations.

Note: Student organizations must register through the Office of Student Involvement and Leadership.

Important Notes

  • Food vendors must apply via the provided link. Applications will be reviewed on Mondays, and payment links will be sent upon approval.
  • All approved vendors will receive detailed logistical instructions, including space assignments, parking info, and registration materials.
  • Bazaar Locations:
    • Campus: Student Center, 135 Marshall Ave., and Convocation Center perimeter
    • Strawberry Banks: 30 Strawberry Banks Blvd., Hampton, VA 23663
  • All vendors must check in at the registration table (Student Center Courtyard near Greek Plaza) starting at 7:30 AM.
  • Vendor parking passes will be distributed at registration.
  • No unlicensed items bearing Hampton University’s name or logos may be sold. To become a licensed vendor, visit: https://clc.com/home/get-licensed/

Merchandise Vendor Requirements

  • No early arrivals before 7:00 AM on campus (Oct. 23 & 24)
  • Breakdown times:
    • Friday: Stop vending at 4:00 PM; clean up by 5:00 PM
    • Saturday: Stop vending at 6:00 PM; clean up by 7:00 PM
  • Electronic payments are processed through Audience View
  • All vendors must bring their own tables, chairs, tents, and other equipment.
  • Space Provided:
    • Merchandise Vendors: 10' x 10' (you may purchase additional spaces)
    • Operating outside your assigned space is prohibited.
  • Space assignments are predetermined by the Bazaar Committee. Preferred spaces are not guaranteed.
  • Failure to comply with University rules or staff instructions may result in immediate removal by University Police.

Food Vendor Requirements

  • No early arrivals before 7:00 AM on campus (Oct. 23 & 24)
  • Breakdown times:
    • Friday: Stop vending at 4:00 PM; clean up by 5:00 PM
    • Saturday: Stop vending at 6:00 PM; clean up by 7:00 PM
  • Electronic payments are processed through Audience View
  • Food vendors must:
    • Secure a permit from the City of Hampton Health Department (757-727-2570)
      • If you currently have a current 2026 Temporary Food Permit Application, please indicate on the application your current status and provide a copy of your permit or supporting document of proof.
      • If you are applying from in-state or out-of-state, please complete the Temporary Food Permit Application. You will need to apply for permit no later than Wednesday, October 7, 2026. Processing could take up to 10 days.
      • Temporary Food Permits cost $40.00. (Subject to change)
      • Visit https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/ for application.
  • Bring their own power source
  • All vendors must bring their own tables, chairs, tents, and other equipment.
  • Space Provided:
    • Food Vendors: 20' x 20'
    • Operating outside your assigned space is prohibited.
  • Space assignments are predetermined by the Bazaar Committee. Preferred spaces are not guaranteed.
  • Failure to comply with University rules or staff instructions may result in immediate removal by University Police.

Refund Policy

All vendor fees are non-refundable under any circumstances, including but not limited to:
  • Inclement weather
  • Low attendance
  • Vendor cancellations
  • Any other unforeseen circumstances
By submitting payment, vendors acknowledge and agree to this policy.
