Taylor, Cohort 1, graduated with a degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology in May 2022. She is currently a medical student at Boston University Medical School prior to  completing a PhD.

Jasmine Maddy

Major: Biochemistry

Jasmine, Cohort 1, graduated Summa Cum laude with a Biochemistry degree in May 2022 and started her Ph.D. at Creighton University in Omaha, NE, in the Fall of 2022.

Kamiel D. Beckley

Major: Biochemistry

Kamiel, cohort 2, graduated in May 2023 with a biochemistry degree, summa cum laude, and a leadership studies minor. She began her Biochemistry, Biophysics and Chemical Biology Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania in the fall of 2023.

Imani Porter

Imani, cohort 2, graduated with a BS in biochemistry in May 2023 and headed to Stanford University for her Ph.D. in Genetics in fall 2023. She is an oureach committee member of the National Allegiance Leading the Advancement of STEM – NALA(STEM).

Cecily, cohort 2, graduated with a biochemistry degree in May 2023 and headed to the Veesler lab in the Department of Biochemistry at the University of Washington as a postbac prior to pursuing a Ph.D.

Jayla Crawford

Major: Biochemistry

Jayla, cohort 2, graduated in May 2023 with a BS in biological sciences Cellular Molecular Biology major. Jayla joined the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) for her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Pharmacogenomics in Fall 2023. At UCSF she was awarded the NIGMS Initiative for Maximizing Student Development (IMSD) Fellowship Program.

Shane Taylor

Major: Cellular and Molecular Biology

Shane, cohort 3, graduated summa cum laude in May 2024 with a BS in Biology Cellular and Molecular Biology major. Shane joined Dartmouth College for his Ph.D. in Fall 2024, where he is pursuing a Molecular Cell Biology PhD program, focusing on pediatric research on HIV and its impact on neurological pathways.

Ananda Turner

Major: Integrative Biology

Ananda, cohort 3, graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2024 with a BS in biological sciences-Integrative Biology major. He completed Hampton University’s Freddye T. Davis Honors College Program curriculum. Ananda joined Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) for post-bac ENGAGE-Bio program at the Bell Center for Regenerative Biology & Tissue Engineering in Fall 2024 prior to pursuing a Ph.D.

Dylan Hayes

Dylan, cohort 3, graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2024 with a BS in Biochemistry and a minor in Economics. Dylan joined the University of California at Davis (UC Davis) in Fall 2024 for his Ph.D. in Food Science.
