The Department of Accounting and Finance
The mission of the Department of Accounting and Finance is to prepare students for careers in a global market, and for graduate study. The Department achieves its mission through curricula structured to enable students to comprehend, analyze and critically assess an entity’s financial condition and optimize its value. The Department endeavors to instill a commitment to ethical values and social responsibility.
Major Degree Requirements:

Program in Finance:
The Finance Program is designed to prepare students for careers in corporate finance, investment management, public finance, insurance and related areas. Instructional techniques include both theory and practical application. Students will have the opportunity to learn using the Bloomberg terminal platform and may be considered for participation in the Student Managed Investment Fund (SMIF).
