In partnership with the Chrysler Museum of Art, the Hampton University Museum has launched an exciting new website that will document the Andrew W. Mellon Curatorial and Conservation Fellows’ work during the three-year pilot program. The site will allow the Fellows to share their journey and educate while they examine Hampton University Museum’s Harmon Foundation Modern African Art and the Chrysler Museum of Art’s traditional African collections. From discussing common themes in the artwork to exploring ways to conserve a treasured collection, viewers will be able to learn more about the importance of curatorial and conservation work in the museum field.
