Summer Program Admissions
Hampton University has open admission during the Summer Session. This means that the application process is less stringent than during the regular academic year. Admission to the Summer Session does not automatically grant admission to other sessions (Fall or Spring). Students who want to attend Hampton University during the regular academic year must apply separately through the standard admissions process.
Classes typically meet daily for either 1 hour and 15 minutes or 1 hour and 45 minutes, though there might be exceptions. All courses offered are dependent on sufficient enrollment. The university can cancel courses that don’t meet the minimum enrollment requirements.
Non – Hampton University students who are just taking courses without pursuing a degree are classified as “special students.” They will need to apply and pay a $50 application fee to the Summer Session office before registering for their classes.
