IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
Congratulations once again on your admission! We are excited to welcome you to the incoming class and look forward to the journey ahead.
We want to share a few important updates as you prepare for enrollment. To date, most federal financial aid notifications have been sent to admitted students. If you have not yet received an offer, you can expect to receive your financial aid package in the coming weeks via your personal email. We appreciate your patience as this process is completed.
We are especially excited about this year’s class, which is one of the most competitive in recent years. Due to the strength and size of the applicant pool, all merit-based scholarship offers for the upcoming academic year have been finalized. We encourage you to visit the Hampton University Financial Aid website to review other outside scholarship opportunities that may be available. Please select the Scholarship Search tab for more information.
In light of the information shared above, we understand that you may need additional time beyond May 1 to finalize your college decision. If you require additional time, please submit your request in writing to applicationstatus@hamptonu.edu. Requests will be accommodated based on space availability in the incoming class.
We look forward to welcoming the Class of 2030 to campus this August.
Warm Regards,
Angela Nixon Boyd
P.S. Please continue to review the Countdown to Your Arrival page on our Digital Enrollment Guide site for the next steps in your journey.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT:
Greetings ,
The countdown continues to your arrival, and we are very excited to welcome you to campus in August!
The Office of Admission is continuing its preparation for your arrival and during the next few weeks, we will complete the evaluation of credits that you may have earned prior to your enrollment at Hampton University. Students who have completed any college level courses and/or Early College programs should be sure to submit final college transcripts to: applicationstatus@hamptonu.edu by July 5, 2025.
Please note that the Office of Admission will complete an evaluation of your credits and send this information to you by July 31, 2026.
If you have sent, or will send transcripts to our office, please send the note below by July 3, 2026. The note is necessary to ensure that you are included in the credit evaluation process prior to your arrival on campus. As a reminder, AP credits are evaluated by the Office of the Registrar and IB credits are evaluated by the Office of Access and Learning. Send all AP score reports to registrar@hamptonu.edu and IB score reports to testingservices@hamptonu.edu
I (full legal name and HU ID#) have sent, or will send my college transcripts for an evaluation of credits to ensure that my courses are added to my official Hampton University transcript.
Thank you for your attention to this information and we can’t wait for you to be a part of the Hampton family!
Kind regards,![]()
Don't Forget to Submit Your HU Student ID
Greetings Hampton Family,
We’re getting close — less than 50 days until you officially arrive on campus!
By now, you should’ve received an email to your Hampton University account about how to submit your photo for your official HU Student ID (HUID). This is a critical step in your check-in process, and we need you to complete it by January 1, 2026. Your ID card gets you access to campus buildings, dining, and a smooth check-in during New Student Orientation. Skipping this step or missing the deadline could lead to long delays when you arrive.
We’re working hard to make your move-in experience fast and stress-free — and this is one simple way you can help make that happen. If you have any questions or need help, just email us at HUPDPhoto@hamptonu.edu.
Let’s make sure you’re Move-In Ready. See you in August!
Sincerely,
Hampton University Police Department
