Greetings Newest Hamptonians,
It is an honor to officially welcome you to Hampton University, your new ‘Home by the Sea.’ You are about to begin one of the most exciting times in your life! You made the right choice to attend Hampton University and I look forward to your arrival in August. This site was created to serve as the repository for information related to the enrollment process at Hampton University for new students. Completing six simple steps by June 30, 2024 will assist with a seamless transition to the HAMPTON EXPERIENCE.
Hampton Orientation signifies not only your official enrollment but also heralds the commencement of your remarkable journey as a Pirate! It’s here that you’ll receive invaluable academic advising and secure your spot in the inaugural semester of classes.
Students Starting In 2025
Review the following checklist to insure a successful spring semester
Complete your housing contract by December 1. For you to move to the next step, you will need to complete this or request an exemption through the form if you are planning to commute from home.
Because we want you to start your college career off right, this information packet will guide you through the process of selecting and registering for courses. Early registration is encouraged since some classes will close due to the high number of students attempting to register.
The Student Accounts office manages all student accounts inquiries for the direct billing, tuition, fees, room and meal plans, health insurance and advance housing and tuition payments.

Make sure you are staying up to date with your Admissions Status Portal. Your portal will be updated regularly with many new things for you to do and complete. Some of these include completing your required training before the start of the semester.
The HamptonU Health Center is an outpatient primary care office that provides services for episodic illnesses, health maintenance, wellness screenings for males and females, health education and laboratory services.
- 1/3 – First Day of Classes
- 1/17 – Regular Session Drop/Add Ends
- 3/8 – 3/16 – Spring Break
- 3/21 – Regular Session Last Day to Drop a Class (Grade of W)
- 4/13 – Last Day of Classes
- 4/24 – Reading Day
- 4/25 – 4/30 – Final Exams
