On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) is a recruiting method used by employers seeking to hire interns and full-time students from some of the best and brightest talent. OCR is held during the fall and spring semesters. Interviews are held in the Career Center from 8:30 to 4:30, Monday thru Friday. Employers may reserve interview rooms in advance by submitting a request through (Symplicity) PirateLink e-recruiting platform, or by calling the Recruiter at 757-727-5331. Employers make the interview request and receives an e-mail confirmation.
Employers may view the recruiting calendar on this page. The Career Center staff reaches out to diverse employers from across the country with an invitation to visit campus and recruit students from all majors. Employers must comply with the Career Center Recruiting Guidelines in order to participate in On-Campus Recruiting (OCR).
The Hampton University Career Center offers several options to strengthen your “Brand” on campus. These options include, but are not limited to, the following:
Employers are encouraged to connect with students through Virtual Recruiting events. Virtual events can be hosted through video conferencing platforms of the employer’s choice. PirateLink is Hampton University’s online platform that allows employers reach out to students and also post internship and full-time positions. Virtual events allow students to receive guidance and advice on their professional development, and allows employers to connect with students for future recruiting. Career Center staff will promote all employer events to students and alumni through e-mail and PirateLink.
