PirateLink is the Career Center’s e-recruiting platform for Hampton University students and alumni. PirateLink uses technology to help students to connect with employers to secure jobs and internships. Employers use PirateLink as a recruitment tool to identify qualified candidates for full-time jobs and internships.

CAREER SERVICES

Hampton University offers alumni free lifetime career services. We are among a small number of colleges offering these services. The Career Center will assist you whether in person, by phone or virtual.   • Cover letter and resume reviewing assistance
  • PirateLink e-recruiting platform is a tool that allows alumni to search for jobs posted by over 3500+ companies, non-profits and government organizations around the world. The system also contains fellowship and research opportunities

PirateLink offers alumni the opportunity to:

Register and create an account, post a resume to access to the PirateLink database of employers and look for a job. Log on to PirateLink .

  • Mock Interviews and Interview Strategies: Alumni may schedule a telephone or in person appointment to practice interview skills
  • Career Fairs: The Career Center hosts the fall and spring career fair each school year
  • Graduate and Professional School Fair: This event is usually held during the fall semester
  • Attend company sponsored information sessions and workshops that are held on campus during the academic year

How Do You Get Started Using Alumni Career Services?

  • Call 757-727-5331, or e-mail careercenter@hamptonu.edu the Career Center, to express your interest in using our services
  • Schedule an appointment for a one-on-one session to review your career goals and resume. Please be ready to discuss your job search strategies, including what has and has not worked and what you hope to find in your search for a career
  • After your resume is reviewed and approved, you may log into PirateLink to post your resume and search the job listings

Alumni Giving Back By Offering Sponsored Professional Seminars And Workshops For Students:

Invite your agency/company to attend the fall or spring career fair. You know from experience that Hampton University graduates are the “best and brightest” so, please show your support by encouraging your agency/company to participate in one or both of the fairs. Be the key to a student’s future.

The Career Center invites alumni to volunteer your time and talent by offering professional seminars or workshops for students. You may want to connect with students to share career insights and information about your workplace. Willing alumni can provide resume critiques, mock interviews, or just have a casual career conversation with a student. Help a student land their dream job! This is an excellent opportunity for you to give back and share your expertise with students at your “Home by the Sea”.
