Stories of Impact from Hampton’s Rising Stars
My name is Karen from Teaneck, New Jersey. I’m in the five-year MBA program. Receiving a scholarship improves my mental health by not only removing stress so I can fully focus on my studies, but gives me a feeling of security and community knowing that Hampton University truly cares about each and every one of their students, providing us with an opportunity to remove that financial burden. I’m extremely grateful for every single opportunity that I have received.

My name is Kayden. I’m a criminal justice major and military science minor from Chester, Virginia. Hampton gives so much to all of us and it’s something we should all take pride in as Hamptonians. I have seen it when certain classmates that knew who wouldn’t be able to attend our university without contributions from those who give. Also, the new construction on campus, including our updated student center, has been a nice thing to experience—so make sure you donate to Hampton University!

My name is Kyle. I’m a Strategic Communications major from Prince George’s County, Maryland. Recently, I lost both of my parents to a tragic death, and it affected me greatly. It really was a time of grief, and I had no hope for myself before I came to Hampton. Then one day, I received an email from the University President stating that he had been accepted at Hampton University on a merit-based scholarship. This really filled me with such joy and jubilance, and it felt like such an honor. From that moment forward, I promised myself that I’m going to make my family proud, continue to do good and strive for greatness. So this is why I encourage you to give to H.U.!
