Under the direction of the Freddye T. Davy Honors College Director, the AA provides administrative and office support for the honors director, faculty, and student life in many ways. This AA role is essential to both faculty and students in ensuring the smooth running and energetic life of the Freddye T. Davy Honors College.

Job Duties:

· Provide administrative support for the Honors College and Honors Faculty. Help coordinate meetings. Present department information, take minutes, and order meals or refreshments as needed.

· Support Director as needed with Academic Affairs related tasks, i.e. honors contracts,

· Maintain department calendar. Set appointments for Directors, if desired.

· Provide day-to-day management of the Honors College budget. Provide details for budget projections.

· Process requisitions, small purchase vouchers, check requests, expense reports, reconcile petty cash, submit office and other supply orders, etc.

· Maintain list of Honors College members, graduates, and alumni.

· Arrange equipment maintenance, general improvements, and furniture updates as needed. Serve as building monitor and make room reservations.

· Provide support for the A+ Summer Residential Program and the W.E.B. DuBois Honor Society.

· Reading, routing and responding as appropriate to incoming mail, email and faxes. Make copies, prepare office-related outgoing mail, correspondence and faxes.

· Work with various departments across campus including the registrar, office services, catering services, etc. and other Academic Departments.

· Contact financial aid regarding hiring of work-study student and supervise one student employee.

· Field trips/cultural events: Provide organizational support

· Organize internal events: Induction, Capstone Celebration, Orientation, Retreats, and Honors Day.

· Other duties as assigned by the Director

Qualifications:

· Three years of office management experience. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

· Proven ability to work independently and multi-task.

· Excellent customer service skills including a courteous, approachable presence in person, online, and on the phone.

· Experience with Office365 is required. Experience with Google Office Suite is preferred. Familiarity with MailChimp is preferred.
