Pharmacist in Charge- Pharmacy

Hampton University Staff

As a Pharmacist in Charge, you will oversee day-to-day operations and deliver outstanding patient care at our pharmacy. You will also direct outreach events, helping expand access to healthcare services in the community.

Job Duties:

· Manage and supervise pharmacy operations and staff

· Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

· Provide exceptional patient counseling and medication therapy management

· Oversee inventory, ordering, and workflow optimization

· Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications:

· Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in Virginia

· 2+ years of retail or community pharmacy experience (leadership preferred)

· Strong clinical knowledge and communication skills

· Passion for patient-centered care

· Experience with a range of pharmacy software

Requirements:

· Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.

· Must meet state pharmacy licensing or certification requirements.

· Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.

· Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends.
