Travel Specialist_ Business Operations

The Travel Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing all travel arrangements on behalf of our university. This role ensures that all travel activities align with institutional policies and budgets, while also meeting the specific needs of staff and faculty members.

Job Duties:

  • Plan, coordinate, and arrange travel itineraries for faculty, staff, and student groups including transportation, accommodations, and other travel-related services.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant institutional policies regarding travel expenses and reimbursement procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to understand their travel needs and provide efficient solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with all university policies related to travel management.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, deals or discounts that could benefit the institution.
  • Resolve any issues or emergencies related to travel arrangements in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role within contract management, negotiation etc., preferably within an educational institution setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills along with attention to detail.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining composure
