Project Coordinator- Communicative Sciences and Disorders

The Hampton University Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders is seeking a Project Coordinator who will work collaboratively with the Grant Project Director/Principal Investigator, Co-Principal Investigator, and other Department Faculty and Staff. This person will organize, coordinate, implement, and oversee programmatic components of the Project Grant as assigned. The Project Coordinator will report directly to the Project Principal Investigators.

*This is a grant-funded position.

Job Duties:

  • Assist with grant management activities.
  • Compile reports and other documents as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining grant related records. 
  • Assist with special programs/events in the Department as needed. 
  • Engage in recruitment efforts.
  • Develop and disseminate surveys. 
  • Produce and present survey reports. 
  • Disseminate results to both internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Assist with day-to-day communications for current and prospective students. 
  • Participate in alumni relation efforts. 
  • Assist with the management of graduate assistants and tutors. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications:  

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.  
  • Possess the ability to manage time and meet deadlines. 
  • Possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to set and adjust priorities. 
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Follow and exercise discretion as it applies to FERPA.

Requirements: 

  • Experience applying academic or administrative procedures in a university/college setting. 
  • Experience supporting students, faculty, and staff.
  • Knowledge of operations e.g. Banner.
