Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act Emergency Funds

As part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, the U.S. Department of Education recently authorized emergency funding to colleges and universities across the United States. Hampton University received CARES Act funding, under a certification and agreement with the Department of Education. 50% of the funding was earmarked for students who are eligible for Title IV federal financial aid, as defined by FAFSA.

Message from the Vice President for Administrative Services

Dear Hampton University Students: During this unprecedented time, it has been our goal to keep students informed and engaged. With this in mind, the Student Affairs Division embraced a new normal by providing virtual services and programming to students using Zoom, Blackboard Collaborate Ultra and several other department specific platforms. The virtual “12-2” activities, telehealth sessions, online tutoring, virtual meetings and workshops, as well as the virtual interviews and information sessions with recruiters at major companies, allowed us to continue to provide services to students even during the pandemic.
