Dear Hampton University Family: The health and safety of the Hampton University community remains one of our top priorities. Therefore, I am pleased to provide the Hampton family an update on our response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. At this moment in time, COVID-19 has forced our institution, the nation and the world to find creative ways to address numerous challenges that heavily impact the daily operations of life as we know it. This is uncharted territory with new challenges appearing daily. Recognizing the fluidity of the situation, the University is daily assessing the best ways in which Hampton can mitigate and minimize the potential spread of COVID-19.

Course Withdrawal For Spring 2020 and Pre-registration For Summer and Fall 2020

In my last communique, I indicated that the Course Withdrawal Period would extend from April 6 to April 10, 2020 and the Pre-registration Period for Summer and Fall 2020 would begin April 13 and end on April 22, 2020. Message to Faculty About COVID-19

Dear Hampton University Faculty: Hampton University is committed to keeping the campus community safe, Informed and healthy as concern about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) grows. To date, there are no positive persons among the campus community. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared the Coronavirus spread a pandemic, and the purpose of this correspondence Is to update you regarding the University’s plan of action regarding the Coronavirus (COVID19). Hampton University is closely monitoring the situation and assessing the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Virginia Department of Health (VDH), as well as our own policies regarding infectious disease. As a result, the Infectious Disease and Prevention Working Group has convened and developed a plan of action.
