Hampton University 154th Commencement Ceremony Hampton University announces Pastor Howard Wesley of Alfred Street Baptist Church as the commencement speaker for the Class of 2024. This esteemed occasion will take place on Sunday, May 12, 2024, 10am at the Hampton University Convocation Center.

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the landmark U.S. Supreme Court case of Brown v. Board of Education and the companion case from Virginia (Davis v. Prince Edward County Board), to recognize the progress and challenges in educational equality and achievement since 1954 and discuss pathways for future improvement in Virginia.

The Lady Pirates Soccer team will have their first home match of the season on August 18 at 3:00 p.m. against Howard at Powhatan Field in Norfolk.
