Counseling Psychologist, Lead Mental Health Clinician and LGBTQIA+ Liaison

Dr. Williams is a Counseling Psychologist who serves at the Lead Mental Health Clinician and LGBTQ+ Liaison. She specializes in working with LGBTQ+ students of color. She’s experienced with a variety of mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression, identity development, sociopolitical stress, trauma, and major life transitions. Dr. Williams received her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a B.A. in Psychology from Claflin University. Before joining Hampton, Dr. Williams provided individual therapy, group therapy, and psychoeducational programming to undergraduate and graduate college students, teens/adolescents, and working professionals. In her free time, she enjoys live music, traveling to different beaches around the world, and indulging in delicious food and coffee.
