Derek A. Nevels is a dedicated social work professional and proud U.S. Military Veteran with 23 years of honorable service. Originally from Kansas City, Kansas, he earned an Associate Degree in Information Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Saint Leo University in Florida, followed by a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Mr. Nevels brings a wealth of leadership and clinical experience, having worked with nonprofit medical organizations and family counseling centers, as well as serving as Vice President of a mental health and substance abuse agency. His clinical areas of focus include men’s issues, relationship building, life transitions and adjustments, and substance abuse recovery.

Guided by his commitment to service and integrity, Mr. Nevels is passionate about ensuring that every client receives the highest quality care to support their growth, healing, and ability to thrive.
