SheCare Wellness Pods (SCWP)
Integrative Wellness Services
Hampton University students are invited to participate in integrative wellness services to include Sound Bowl, Art Therapy, Zumba, “Food and Mood” and Herbalism. As part of the BLHF and KSNY partnership, the SCWP also provides female-identifying students the option to receive brief individual telehealth appointments through community mental health providers.

Sound Bath Meditation by Ursi
Join us for a rejuvenating Sound Bath Meditation, led by Ursi Salkey, Sound practitioner. Lie comfortably as you are “bathed” in soothing sound waves produced by crystal singing bowls, gongs, and chimes, promoting relaxation, stress relief, and mental clarity. Aromatherapy & Herbalism by Loni
Explore the ancient & sacred art/science of Herbalism & Aromatherapy for beginners and enthusiasts alike. This class shares the therapeutic use of essential oils & herbs to promote physical, emotional, & spiritual well-being. Every class begins with a meditation & smudging ceremony. We move on to discuss what herbs/scents we’ll be using that day. Every student creates an herbal masterpiece & each class ends with setting intentions & Q/A.
Food + Mood Vegan Cooking by Chef Charlise
Chef Charlise, with her extensive background in vegan cuisine, will lead “Empower Your Plate: Unveiling Plant-Based Wellness” for SheCare Wellness students at Hampton University. This program offers virtual and in-person cooking classes that highlight the positive impacts of plant-based eating on mental and physical health, promoting a holistic approach to wellness.
How to Access Individual Therapy at the Pods
The Student Counseling Center remains the primary individual therapy resource for HU students, providing both in-person and virtual mental health care to our enrolled Pirates.
