The Student Counseling Center also offers trainings on a wide variety of mental health related topics. Educating yourself, your club, and your office is a key way to promote wellness across the entire Hampton University campus. Training - 2 Hours
Grief Support Training
Join the Lead Grief Clinician of the BSP on an informational journey towards gaining competence on the topic of grief and loss. This training will provide information on the grieving process, how to support bereaved persons, and other valuable grief support resources. This training will also provide more insight on the BSP and how to refer students in need to the program. Disclaimer: This training will cover topics that may be sensitive in nature.

Mental Health First Aid Training
This eight-hour training offers a range of comprehensive skills-based early-intervention courses. Our courses teach learners how to identify, understand and respond to signs or symptoms of mental health or substance use challenges. Decrease stigma, address tough challenges and make a positive difference in the lives of those around you by getting certified. Min attendance of 8 / max attendance of 30

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST)
Trusted by professionals, approved by the World Health Organization and learnable by anyone, (ASIST) is the only workshop of its kind.
