Anahita Zare is the Brandeis Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) Director of Education, Outreach and Diversity She oversees MRESC outreach and education programs and is passionate about exciting young people to pursue careers in STEM fields.

Seth Fraden received his bachelor of arts in physics from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1979 and his Ph.D. in physics from Brandeis University, Boston, Massachusetts, in 1987. He worked as an NSF postdoctoral Fellow from 1987–1989 at the Max Planck Institute Hochfeld Magnetlabor in Grenoble, France. 

In 1989, he joined the physics department at Brandeis University. Fraden’s research is in the area of soft condensed matter, non-linear chemical dynamics, protein crystallization, microfluidics and biomaterials. He is director of the NSF Bioinspired Soft Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) at Brandeis University.
