Business Management Graduate

Attending Hampton University was one of the best decisions I have ever made, and graduating from the School of Business with a degree in Business Management was the second best. During my matriculation, I was guided by professors and mentors, like Dr. Karen Maxwell, among many others, who brought real-world experience into the classroom and made the curriculum practical.

I was not only a student but also a scholarship athlete under the tutelage of Coach Maurice Pierce. The collaboration between our athletic and business departments ensured I never missed a beat. The job placement support was exceptional; upon graduation, I secured a full-time opportunity at a Fortune 500 company. This followed a series of internships at PenFed Credit Union, Wells Fargo, and Johns Hopkins Hospital, all made possible by the strong relationships the Business Management department has fostered.

The program’s rigor and polishing approach provided me with the fundamentals to excel not only in financial roles but in every pursuit that has followed. Since graduating, I have become an Emmy Award-winning producer for my work on NBC’s 2024 Paris Olympics, founded my luxury women’s golf apparel company, MAEHILL, and sit on the board for the Friends of the White Plains Youth Bureau.

The Business Management department taught me to “dream no small dream” and mean it. Even in these early years, my life has sung that exact song, and I am excited for what lies ahead.
