Call for Papers

The Hampton University School of Business invites submissions for the Journal of Business and Finance Research (JBFR), a peer-reviewed academic journal covering business disciplines, including management, finance, accounting, and related fields. Established in 2009, JBFR is registered with the Library of Congress (ISSN) and has been under consideration for inclusion in Cabell’s Directory of Publishing Opportunities since 2009.

Scope and Editorial Mission

JBFR publishes empirical and theoretical research that advances business-related disciplines such as management, accounting, marketing, economics, and finance. The journal prioritizes papers of broad relevance to both academia and industry. All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process. The current acceptance rate is approximately 15–20%, with expectations to decline to 10% over time.

Submission and Review Process

Initial submissions undergo a preliminary review by the Associate Editors. If approved, authors will be invited to formally submit their manuscripts. The review process is expected to take approximately eight weeks. Authors will be notified of the editorial decision upon completion of the review and any required revisions.
